About the role: We are looking for a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features, and continuously improving app performance and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with external APIs and data sources
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs to improve performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven software development experience and Android skills development
- Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java
- Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries available for common tasks
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
