Responsibilities:
You’ll own the core data engine that powers everything—from scraping and analyzing creator content to building the logic that identifies viral moments and micro-influencer
Creator & Competitor Analysis Engine:
- Build scrapers/crawlers to ingest video content (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.) tied to specific apps and brands
- Aggregate and analyze content performance over time (views, spikes, engagement)
- Correlate performance trends to individual videos and creators
️ Backend & AI Integration:
- Develop APIs and services in Python or Node.js to power the frontend dashboard
- Implement intelligent filters: creator reach, virality prediction, engagement drops, etc.
- Use AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Cohere, or custom fine-tunes) for video labeling, metadata classification, and creator ranking
Database & Scaling:
- Structure large-scale creator and content datasets with efficient querying (PostgreSQL, Firebase, or similar)
- Ensure global and historical content coverage (up to 52 weeks back, multi-language)
- Work with rate limits, proxies, and resilience for scraping
Quality, UX, and Security:
- Improve result accuracy, filtering UX, and data completeness
- Build backend that supports real-time search and future creator outreach/negotiation workflows
- Ensure security best practices for API access and creator data
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with web scraping at scale, content analysis, or social media APIs
- Solid backend skills in Python, Node.js, or Go, with experience in building clean REST APIs
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, indexing, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with creator platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and their content structures
- Bonus: Experience working on growth tools, marketing analytics, or creator marketplaces
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI/ML for content classification or recommendation
- Background in growth hacking or digital marketing
- Prior work in the App Store intelligence or competitor analysis space
