As a Digital Accessibility Tester, you will ensure that websites, applications, and digital documents are usable by people with disabilities. You will test digital products against global accessibility standards and work with development teams to make them compliant with WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test websites, web apps, and mobile apps for accessibility compliance
  • Use tools like WAVE, Axe, NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver for testing
  • Conduct manual audits based on WCAG 2.1 (A/AA/AAA)
  • Document accessibility issues and recommend remediations
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers for inclusive design
  • Support VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) documentation

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of accessibility principles and disability inclusion
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and accessibility laws
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and ARIA roles
  • Experience with screen readers and browser accessibility extensions
  • Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have:

  • Certification like CPACC or WAS from IAAP
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies (e.g., screen magnifiers, alternative input devices)
  • Interest in inclusive design and universal usability
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields
