Proffer Engineering delivers BIM modelling and shop drawing services for aluminium curtain wall, cladding, and canopy facade systems on live construction projects. We are looking for a Facade BIM Modeler who can take architectural and structural inputs (Revit, IFC, CAD) and turn them into coordinated, fabrication-ready models and shop drawings working directly with facade suppliers, structural engineers, and site teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
– Develop Revit/BIM models for curtain wall, aluminium-clad canopies, and cladding systems from architectural drawings, structural steel IFC models, and supplier fabrication inputs.
– Produce shop drawings, GA plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings to the required Level of Development (LOD 300-500).
– Import and coordinate supplier/structural steel models, resolving dimensional discrepancies and reporting clashes or alignment issues.
– Develop cladding panel layouts, panel families, and panel schedules from surface models and facade specifications.
– Prepare BOQ / quantity take-offs and maintain shop drawing schedules against agreed submission programmes.
– Raise and track RFIs with clients, architects, and suppliers; attend regular design review and coordination meetings.
– Maintain model and drawing revision control in line with the project’s BIM Execution Plan.
Role & responsibilities
Preferred Candidate Profile
– Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (Navisworks a plus).
– Solid understanding of curtain wall, unitized, and aluminium cladding/canopy facade systems.
– Experience coordinating models against IFC/structural steel inputs and resolving discrepancies.
– Familiarity with LOD standards (300-500) and BIM Execution Plans.
– Ability to prepare and respond to RFIs, and manage shop drawing schedules and revisions.
– Good communication skills for coordinating with international clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
