Key Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build safe, scalable REST APIs and background systems
- Set up and manage messaging systems using RabbitMQ
- Design, improve, and take care of PostgreSQL databases
- Work with large amounts of data, including time-based data
- Launch services using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Make sure the system can be easily watched and stays reliable
- Work with frontend teams and check how the UI connects with the backend
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equal experience
- 10+ years of backend development experience
- Strong company-level experience with Java/Spring Boot
- Experience working on both Windows and Linux
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on skills in Java (17+) and Spring Boot
- Skills in REST APIs, background messaging, and event-based system design
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ
- Strong PostgreSQL skills (designing database structure, indexing, and speeding up performance)
- Experience with time-based databases (like TimescaleDB or similar tools)
- Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP
- Docker and packaged app launches
- CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Basic understanding of frontend tech (React/TypeScript)
Nice to Have
- Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
- Offline or fully closed-off (air-gapped) system setups
- Experience testing API agreements
