We are looking for a well-organized and proactive Project Coordinator (Software Developer) to join our Engineering team. In this job, you will work with the CTO, Software Developers, QA, Product, and others to keep software projects organized, track tasks, and follow engineering processes. This role is about coordinating projects, following processes, reporting, and keeping projects visible, not about software development itself.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Help the Software Development team with daily tasks.
- Check project progress and ensure work is done on time.
- Follow up with developers on pending tasks and upcoming deadlines.
- Report any delays or problems to the CTO or management.
- Make sure projects on track with set timelines and goals.
Ticket & Task Management
- Monitor and maintain Kayana’s internal ticket management system.
- Make sure every ticket has an assigned owner, priority, and due date.
- Follow up with developers to keep ticket updates accurate
- Make sure completed work is properly documented before closing.
- Monitor overdue and inactive tickets and flag them when needed.
- Keep project boards clean, and organized.
Process Compliance
- Make sure the Software Development team follows set workflows.
- Track tasks from meetings and make sure they are done on time.
- Monitor if project management processes are being followed.
- Identify issues in the process and suggest fixes
Reporting
- Create daily and weekly status reports for engineering.
- Maintain project trackers and dashboards for management.
- Monitor and report on:
- Project progress
- Open and closed tickets
- Overdue tasks
- Blocked items
- Team workload
- Delivery timelines
Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate activities between Development, QA, Product, Support, and Management.
- Schedule project meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, and follow-up meetings.
- Take notes during meetings and track action items.
- Make sure priorities and deadlines are clearly communicated across teams.
Documentation
- Keep project documents and trackers updated.
- Make sure project records stay complete and up to date.
- Support ongoing improvement of engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator,or similar role
- Experience working with software development or tech teams.
- Experience with ticket management or project management systems ((custom systems are a plus)
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Good reporting skills using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of Agile software development is a plus.
Shift Range
We want candidates who can work at our Andheri East office for 5 days a week. You may need to work with global teams in different time zones sometimes.
