We’re hiring a AI Backend Engineer at Persist Ventures who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves building clean, scalable tech from the ground up. If you’re someone who enjoys owning features end-to-end and working across the stack this role is for you.
You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to develop production-ready APIs and craft seamless user experiences. This is a hands-on role where speed, clarity, and quality code matter.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build efficient APIs, test with Postman, and deploy with Uvicorn
- Collaborate on full-stack workflows with React for frontend components
- Ensure scalability, performance, and clean architecture
- Write clear documentation and maintain code quality standards
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and Uvicorn
- Proficient in using Postman for API testing
- Working knowledge of React.js (basic to intermediate level)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows
Bonus (Nice to Have):
- Experience working on high-scale systems or startups
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
- Knowledge of deployment on cloud (AWS, GCP, etc.)
