At Persist Ventures, we’re building an AI-powered strategy engine to automate custom DeFi workflows on the Solana blockchain. This is a unique opportunity to join as a founding engineer and develop a lightweight autonomous AI agent that interprets human trading strategies and converts them into executable on-chain actions. You’ll help shape the future of programmable investing by blending blockchain, LLMs, and real-time data execution.
What You’ll Build:
- A market-making AI agent that interprets user prompts (e.g., “buy this token every hour”) and generates executable Solana scripts
- Node.js-based script generator powered by LLMs, integrated with Express APIs
- Core functionalities such as fetching token price, market cap, distribution, swap functionality, etc., via Solana RPC
- Strategy-based socket listeners to monitor token activity and trigger smart reactions (e.g., mirror trades from watched wallets)
- Support for conditional logic in prompts (e.g., “If this wallet buys X, buy X too”)
- A modular AI backend that allows switching between different LLMs at runtime
- API-first architecture, returning strategy scripts and logging actions in real-time
- DevNet-compatible for testing with clean transitions to MainNet
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and building scalable API backends
- Hands-on experience working with blockchain data, especially Solana RPCs
- Familiarity with LLMs and integrating AI models into applications
- Proficiency in building event-based systems (e.g., sockets for wallet monitoring)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, experimental environments
- Strong documentation habits (README-first mindset)
