We are hiring a Cloud API Performance Tester to assess the speed, scalability, and stability of APIs hosted on cloud platforms. You will work closely with QA, DevOps, and backend teams to ensure APIs perform reliably under different load conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute performance test cases for cloud-hosted APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.)
- Use tools like JMeter, Postman, or Gatling to simulate traffic and measure API response times
- Analyze throughput, latency, and error rates to identify bottlenecks
- Collaborate with developers to suggest tuning and scaling strategies
- Document test scenarios, reports, and performance baselines
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of APIs (REST/JSON/XML) and HTTP methods
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like Apache JMeter, Postman, or LoadRunner
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Analytical and debugging skills to pinpoint performance issues
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Internship or academic project involving API testing or cloud performance benchmarking
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and performance testing in DevOps workflows
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or Shell
Eligibility:
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- 2023/2024 graduates interested in performance engineering and cloud systems
