You’ll work closely with Goalkeep’s internal team and support client projects as needed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Infrastructure Maintenance & Optimization
- Maintain and upgrade Goalkeep’s internal tech infrastructure
- Monitor data pipeline performance for both client and internal projects and proactively raise alarms and fix issues
- Optimize SQL queries using techniques to reduce data pipeline costs
- Monitor infrastructure costs to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving strategies across cloud services and tech subscriptions
- Internal Tech Enablement & Support
- Provide tech setup and troubleshooting support to internal teams and analysts so that we can successfully deliver on client projects
- Maintain a tracker of tech subscriptions and licenses
- Assist with onboarding new team members onto Goalkeep systems
What we’re looking for:
Hard Skills:
- Data modeling and database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
- Installing and maintaining software on Linux systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) is a must
- Ability to troubleshoot based on system logs and performance indicators
- Data engineering: writing efficient SQL, designing pipelines
Soft Skills & Mindsets:
- Curiosity and accountability when investigating system issues
- Discipline to proactively maintain and monitor infra
Must-Know Tools:
- Linux Command Line
- SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of work experience in software development or IT infrastructure roles
- Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field
