Job Description
You will be responsible for building new features for the platform and the front end. You’ll work with different subsystems and web services. We’re looking for talented developers who can learn new things fast and help out at every level of a web product. Since we’re a startup, we move quickly and are always launching new features. - Designing, building, and improving new parts of the Livspace design platform and content management platforms
- Designing new features for the e-commerce sites, front-end products, and mobile apps
- Maintaining engineering infrastructure
- Making a real impact on the current and future technology roadmap
- Contributing creatively to key products that will reach large audiences
- Building web products that users love
Internal Skills and Expertise
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus) from a Tier-1 college
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-performing web applications
Technical Skills:
- Strong skill in JavaScript, with a deep understanding of ES6+ features.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework/library: Vue.js, React, or Angular.
- Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Vuex, Redux) and component-based structure.
- Understanding of core web concepts such as DOM manipulation, event handling, and how browsers render pages.
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processors (LESS/SASS) and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- API Integration: Skilled in using and building UI components that connect with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Performance Optimization: Experience debugging and improving frontend performance, including bundling, lazy loading, and caching techniques.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and team-based workflows (e.g., pull requests, code reviews).
Other Skills:
- Some exposure to testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes is a plus.
