We are looking for a detail-obsessed front-end engineer who can translate design mock-ups into blazing-fast pages – writing clean PHP for WordPress and Liquid for Shopify – and who thrives on rapid iteration and real-time collaboration during US hours.
What You’ll Do
- Build & maintain responsive pages with HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), and vanilla JavaScript.
- Integrate front-end code with PHP-based WordPress themes/plugins and Shopify Liquid templates.
- Optimize performance for speed, SEO, and cross-browser/device consistency.
- Implement UI/UX best practices, animations, and micro-interactions to delight users.
- Debug and troubleshoot UI issues, ensuring smooth functionality.
- Collaborate daily with designers, marketers, and back-end engineers during US business hours.
Must-Have Skills
- 1–5 years professional front-end development experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and browser dev-tools.
- Hands-on experience writing PHP for WordPress and/or Liquid for Shopify integrations.
- Solid grasp of UI/UX principles, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO-friendly markup.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows; comfortable using npm/Webpack or Vite.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- jQuery or lightweight JS library experience (Alpine.js, HTMX).
- Exposure to modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) for headless builds.
- Knowledge of performance best practices (lazy loading, code splitting).
- Experience with design tools (Figma / Adobe XD) and Agile environments.
