Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos that align with the creative brief and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, and other creatives to understand project goals and storytelling vision.
  • Assemble recorded footage, apply color grading, audio mixing, sound design, and visual effects as needed.
  • Create motion graphics and titles when required.
  • Ensure all edits are optimized for the appropriate platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, web, TV, etc.).
  • Manage and organize media assets and project files efficiently.
  • Maintain deadlines and deliver projects under tight turnaround times.
  • Stay updated on editing trends, tools, and platform-specific best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a video editor in a media house, production company, or digital content studio.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing tools.
  • Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, timing, and rhythm.
  • Solid understanding of color correction, audio mixing, and visual aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with different aspect ratios and formats for social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle feedback constructively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing a range of editing styles and formats is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Film, Media, Communication, or related field.
  • Experience working on short-form and long-form content (documentaries, interviews, reels, etc.).
  • Understanding of media asset management and backup workflows.
  • Passion for storytelling and content creation.
