Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Lead the design, development, and support of new and existing hardware products.
- Drive the end-to-end hardware design process—from concept and part selection to simulation, schematic capture, and PCB design rule creation.
- Coordinate with layout teams to ensure PCB designs adhere to manufacturing guidelines.
- Manage prototype builds with contract manufacturers; oversee product bring-up, debugging, and system-level verification.
- Execute test protocols, document outcomes, and provide feedback to enhance product quality.
- Support environmental and compliance testing; assist in transitioning hardware into production.
- Deliver on-site support for demos, installations, training, and resolving customer field issues.
- Work closely with software, mechanical, and layout teams for smooth integration and co-design.
- Facilitate system bring-up and verification with design and layout teams.
- Engage in customer-facing activities, including demos and troubleshooting to ensure product success.
- Contribute to innovation and ideation within the hardware design team.
- Provide input for improving current systems and influence future product development.
Requirements:
- Strong background in ultra-low-noise analog front-ends and precision analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
- Deep understanding of electronic systems, including MOSFETs, transistors, ADCs/DACs, filters, and feedback systems.
- Experience in power electronics—power architecture, regulation, and noise management.
- Skilled in analog and digital design involving microcontrollers and interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, CAN bus, RS232, Ethernet.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium) and circuit simulation platforms like LTspice, PSpice, TINA, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with DFM, DFT, signal integrity validation (SNR, THD, CMRR), and data fidelity testing.
- Familiar with lab tools—oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, and power supplies.
- Solid understanding of ADC principles, signal conditioning, and sensor interface design.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and compliance standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1 for medical devices).
- Prior exposure to environmental qualification (e.g., HALT/HASS) and failure analysis.
- Hands-on experience in regulatory processes, certification readiness, and collaboration with testing labs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
- Skilled in documenting design and testing procedures for hardware systems.
- Strong communication skills—able to convey technical concepts clearly across teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset; experienced in working cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and test engineering teams.
