Position Summary:
The Lead Quality Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for defining quality strategy, driving enterprise-level test architecture, and ensuring end-to-end quality across GraphQL orchestration platforms integrating multiple domain APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive quality strategy and automation roadmap
- Own end-to-end quality for API orchestration layer
- Lead design of scalable automation frameworks (Karate)
- Drive integration testing across multiple domain systems
- Mentor QE teams and enforce best practices
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on design for quality
- Ensure system reliability, scalability and performance validation
- Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years in quality engineering with strong automation experience
- Expertise in Karate or similar API automation frameworks
- Experience in large-scale distributed systems testing
- Strong understanding of API orchestration and integration patterns
- Experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have:
- GraphQL queries/mutations testing experience
- Microservices architecture exposure
- Event-driven architecture (Kafka)
- Performance and resilience testing knowledge
Education and Certifications: - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
