About the Role: Outlier is looking for skilled software engineers to help train AI models by evaluating and improving AI-generated code. You’ll work on a freelance basis with flexible hours and weekly payments.
What You’ll Do
- Create and answer technical questions about software engineering concepts, coding practices, and debugging
- Review and rate code written by AI in languages like JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, and C++
- Analyze code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards
- Provide detailed feedback on version control workflows, collaborative coding, and debugging techniques
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or C++
- Professional experience maintaining production-grade software
- Strong knowledge of Git (or similar version control systems)
- Experience with code reviews, debugging, and analyzing large codebases
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate technical feedback clearly
- English proficiency required
